Good Moaning Tools > How to make your furniture Gender-Neutral
Good Moaning sex furniture is mainly for Male/Female sex. What if you want to make it more gender-neutral? These 2 easy steps will guide you to do so.
Good Moaning furniture uses the AVsitter engine. AVsitter is a posing system to play animations, massively used all over Second Life. I encourage you to discover AVsitter, this will help you a lot to customize any furniture. This documentation could actually be seen like a beginer tutorial for AVsitter.

When you sit on a Good Moaning furniture, it offers you to select between male and female:
(for the cataclysmic bed, which can have 3 sitters, it offers to select between Female 1, Male and Female 2)
Furthermore, it shows some gender labels in menu header:
To change this, you have to edit the AVpos notecard. Right click your furniture, tick "Edit" to open the Edit window then go to the Content Tab. Now wait a bit while the content is loading. It can take one minute. After the Content is loading, find the AVpos notecard and double click it to edit it:
The AVpos notecard is the Configuration of the engine. Most of the time, anytime you want to customize an AVsitter furniture, you go to edit this notecard.
Near the top of this notecard you will see this:
SITTER 0|Female 1|F
Just replace by :
SITTER 0
So this should look like this now:
Now you want to do the same for the second sitter. Go down in the notecard and find this line:
SITTER 1|Male|M
And replace it by:
SITTER 1
If you use the sofa or shower, you are done. But the bed can have up to 3 sitters, so you have to modify it for the third sitter as well. Go down in the notecard and find this line:
SITTER 2|Female 2|F
And replace it by:
SITTER 2
Tip: when you edit a notecard, press CTRL + F to use the search feature. It allows you to quickly find a word in the notecard.
When you're all done, click the Save button at the bottom of the notecard. Now the furniture is reloading. It can take a while so be patient. Do no try to edit again the notecard while it is loading, it could drive to some strange behaviors.
Congratulations! Now there is no notion anymore of "male" or "female" in your furniture. But you can go further with the step 2.
Now, you might want to rename some categories. For example you want to rename "Boy on top" by "Facing", to make it more gender-neutral.
Once again, you do that by editing the AVpos notecard. Be aware that each category name appears twice per sitter in the notecard. For example, "Boy on top" category concerns sitters 0 and 1 in the Cataclysmic Bed, so you have to edit 4 lines.
So open again the AVpos notecard and look for this line (remember you can use CTRL + F to find it quickly):
TOMENU Boy on top
and replace it by:
TOMENU Facing
Then look for this line:
MENU Boy on top
and replace it by:
MENU Facing
Then repeat the process for the second sitter.
Tip: you can make an automatic replacement in the whole notecard. Previously we saw that if you type CTRL + F in the notecard, you can search a word. This feature also allows you to replace a word (or sentence) in the whole notecard. So you can do this:
and press "Replace All"
Now, let's suppose that you want to rename the category "3some MMF" of the Cataclysmic Bed into just "3some". This category concerns the 3 sitters, which means that you have 6 lines to modify. You can edit each line individually, or use the Search and Replace feature as explained previously :
Previously, we have seen how to change the category names. What about pose names like "Spin", "Impale", or "Bang her"? Sadly you can NOT change them. Indeed, pose names must be identical to anims files names in Good Moaning furniture because this is how the facial and physics animations work. So yes, i'm sorry, but "Bang her" must stay "Bang her" and there is no way to change these names. If you do so, that will break facial and physics anims and an error will pop up.
You can do much more than just turning your furniture into a gender neutral furnithre. More info on this page:
